The Moroccan decorating style is vibrant, eye-catching and dramatic, without being over the top. If you love bright colors, fun patterns and plush furniture, bring these elements into your bedroom with Moroccan decor. Here are five ideas to help get you started.

1. Decorate with rich jewel tones

The Moroccan style is rich and luxurious, thanks to its use of beautiful jewel-tone fabrics and accessories. Incorporate dazzling blues, vibrant reds and deep purples into your bedroom’s design.

2. Accessorize with metallic accents

Complement your jewel-tone decor with metallic accents to enhance and complete the look. You can incorporate shimmering gold, bronze and silver accents through statement light fixtures, eye-catching hardware and small accessories to design a glamorous space.

3. Add a unique touch with a Moroccan pouf

There’s no better way to follow traditional Moroccan design than to add a Moroccan pouf to your setup. These unique accessories are similar to ottomans and can be used as a leg rest, for seating, or simply to add a touch of style to your space.

4. Cover your bed with throw pillows

In the Moroccan decorating style, throw pillows are a must. And not just a couple of throw pillows, but many different sizes, styles, shapes and shades of throw pillows. Pile on your favorite finds to create a plush bed that welcomes you for a deep sleep every night.

5. Incorporate a print or two

Printed upholstery is commonly found in the Moroccan style, so incorporate patterns into your bedroom’s design through throw pillows, your bedspread or a rug.
