Stressed? Here’s How an Indoor Water Fountain Can Help

Just like an interesting piece of art, indoor water fountains are a great way to add that “wow” factor to your space. They capture the eye and make it hard for any person to look away. And while their beauty is enough reason to make indoor fountains a popular décor choice, great style is actually not their only advantage. Indoor water fountains can also help you relax by evoking soothing sounds and purifying the air around you.

Maybe you’ve seen interior water features displayed in the hair salon or spa you visit. Well there’s a reason why these types of businesses choose water fountains over other décor options. Indoor waterfalls help people to feel calm, enhancing the client’s overall experience.

Some noises, like your obnoxious alarm clock in the morning, or the sound of cars honking outside, can make a person feel stressed. Indoor water fountains such as the ones by Adagio, however, have the exact opposite effect. The trickling, bubbling or cascading sounds of water relaxes people rather than raising their stress levels. With an interior water fountain, you can create a tranquil oasis in your home and let the soothing sounds of cascading water comfort you after a hard day at work.

It’s not just the soothing sounds that make water fountains so relaxing. Another way that these interior water falls improve your well-being is by cleaning the air you breathe. Running water releases negative ions into the air, and these ions then remove impurities like dust particles from the air. If you are someone who has allergies, having an indoor water feature would be extremely beneficial and would help you keep those allergies under control.

Along with purifying the air, negative ions also can affect serotonin levels, which is a chemical in the brain that affects your mood. Serotonin is often linked with reducing stress levels and even symptoms of depression. Have you ever wondered why hanging out at the beach puts you in such a good mood and makes you full of energy? It’s because of all the negative ions!

As you can see, having an indoor tabletop, floor, or wall water fountain in your home isn’t just about improving the look of your home. It’s also about improving your overall well-being. Everyone gets stressed from time to time, and that’s ok. But why not give yourself a break from the stress and let a water fountain help you to feel relaxed instead?
